I would love to be able to use semi persistent side chats - multi turn side chats that can use the main chat as context. This is useful for getting insight into a running session. For example, I may realize I’ve had a session running for an hour that I thought would take a few mins. A side chat can analyze the main chat’s work slices and recommend a steering prompt for the main chat to improves the slices.

Start at the /chat entry point described in the issue and review how the app represents the current conversation. Define how a semi-persistent side chat would retain access to the main chat across multiple turns, then verify that it can analyze the running session and provide a steering prompt without disrupting the main chat.
