I just installed the Copilot desktop app, and I'm dismayed to learn that we can't load a repo that sits outside an artificially and narrowly defined path.

I have hundreds of repos on my system, stored in a complex hierarchy depending on a given repo's purpose and scope.

This severe limitation in the Copilot desktop app makes it impossible for me to use.

Start by reproducing the issue in Copilot app version 1.0.24 on Windows 10 using a repository under /mywork and a hierarchy outside the currently allowed path. Done means the desktop app can load repositories stored in arbitrary user-defined locations.
