Automation executed with no response at all

I created automations in guthib copilot app, with everything configured properly, like model, context, etc, but the automation never produced any responses no matter how it gets triggered, by schedule, or manually. the automation panel shows the session for every execution, but all of the only contains the initial prompt, nothing else. Even after I turned an existing automation run into a chat session and sent another prompt, there is still no response. Same issue for simply prompt like "tell me the date".

To reproduce:
1. create a automation.
2. manually run it.
3. observe the lack of response.
5. turn the session into a chat, and send the same prompt again.
6. observe the lack of response again.

Start by reproducing the issue in the GitHub Copilot app v1.0.23 on Windows 11, using the /chat path and a simple prompt such as “tell me the date.” Check both manual and scheduled automation runs, then convert a run to chat and send another prompt. Done means each execution and follow-up chat produces a response rather than only the initial prompt.
