Dictation input can't be resumed after pausing — requires keyboard to continue
When composing a prompt using voice dictation (e.g., macOS dictation), stopping dictation and then trying to restart it in the same input field doesn't work. The cursor or input seems to lose focus, and the text field won't accept new dictation input after the first dictation session ends. You have to physically type something first before dictation will work again.
Steps to reproduce: Start a new prompt using voice dictation, stop dictating, then try to resume dictating in the same input field.
Expected: Dictation resumes and appends to the existing prompt.
Actual: Nothing happens until you type with the keyboard first.
Environment: macOS (system-level dictation)

Research direction

Start at the /chat prompt input and reproduce the pause-and-resume flow with macOS system dictation. Trace how focus is handled when dictation stops, then verify that resuming appends to the existing prompt without keyboard input.
