Using search bar, unable to press space if pausing

## Steps to reproduce

Typing "input" into the search, pause for 1 second, and try and press space to continue searching for something addition (For example "input type".
I can type another letter but not a space.
If I delete the whole line and type again, this time without a short pause after "input", I can fully type with the space included.
