Timeline events view occasionally needs to be refreshed before events are shown

I need to do more investigation here to figure out what triggers this.

As I was playing around with performance profiling, I ran into a few instances where no timeline events were shown in the embedded Perfetto view and I had to manually refresh the timeline before I saw them:

Start by reproducing the missing-events behavior in the embedded Perfetto timeline while performance profiling, then inspect the timeline loading and refresh flow. The issue does not name files or tests, so first locate the embedded Perfetto entry point and determine what triggers the events to appear. Done means identifying the trigger and ensuring timeline events appear without a manual refresh.
