Beschreibung

Topic map of all possible (for example) AP US History topics

Search bar a la Art.sy or Quora for searching topics ("Shay's Rebellion"), textbooks ("American Pageant"), chapters, even questions.

Best collection of information for studying a particular topic. Plus, a whole bunch of different views of the data. Like

Notes for every chapter of every major textbook, just like before. But important topics or concepts are hyperlinked from within the notes to pages with more information about that topic. There should be an easy tool so that note uploaders or admins can highlight important terms within people's notes and quickly (like in a click or two) link them to the correct topic page.

Highlight important term like "Shay's rebellion" within a note page, list of possible matches comes up, or since there is an exact match, we auto-link it to Shay's Rebellion.

Topic pages can start out as "stubs" a la Wikiedpia, but there should be a really easy way to populate the page with notes. Suggest notes on the site, YouTube videos, links from Google, etc. that might be relevant. List out all uploaded notes and questions that mention the topic on the topic page. Impore people to upload more notes about highly referenced topics which don't have much material.

Allow "linking" to the relevant Wikipedia page. This could auto-include structured data about the topic (dates, people, photos from Wikimedia Commons, etc.) and an excerpt and full article directly in the page.

Things to show on each topic page:
- Summary -- what is it?
- Significance -- why is this important?
- Quizzes -- how well do you know this topic?
- Videos -- for the lazt student (a la http://www.youtube.com/user/jghprofhist)
- Open source material from some DB
