How to use multithreading in ZTS

I am doing a dissertation on the topic "Investigating compression techniques for MPI communication". I am testing 10 different compression libraries and one of them is ZSTD. I would like to know how to use multithreading functionality for compression and decompression. It would be helpful if you could give me an example or provide me a documentation.
