Unable to Contact Homeserver on Subdomain

### Steps to reproduce

1. Attempt to sign in to homeserver using Element X

### Outcome

#### What did you expect?

Being able to connect to log in to homeserver from the Element X homeserver choice screen.

#### What happened instead?

My homeserver domain `subdomain.domain.tld` does not appear in the list, unless I use `https://subdomain.domain.tld`. After selecting it, however, I am prompted with an error that the homeserver cannot be reached. My server uses standard username/password authentication, not SSO.
