Description

The unread count in the left side of the room header makes sense on iPhone, as it's a label providing more context for the back chevron. On iPad, the counter is next to a maximise interaction so the counter is extremely misleading, spatially.

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by locating the room header implementation and comparing how the unread count is presented on iPhone versus iPad; done means the iPad counter no longer misleads near the maximise interaction while the iPhone back-chevron context remains clear.
