Pile cotticing does not work

1) if you blazon a 'pile colourX cottised colourY', the cottising does not display properly: instead of appearing outside the charge with small gap of the field showing between the cottis and the charge, the cottis line appears slightly inside the charge, with the charge's edge showing: it looks like a double fimbriation. You can see this easily with e.g. "sable, a pile argent cottised gules".

2) On certain shield shapes you can see the bottom edge of an inverted pile e.g. "sable, a pile inverted argent fimbriated gules", on a swiss shield. You can see the fimbriation line at the tip of the shield, which should not appear. The
problem is more obvious with the blazon "sable, a pile inverted argent cottised gules", but this is only because the cottising is displaying incorrectly as per problem 1). Hope that is helpful, thanks.

No file or test is named, so trace the rendering path that handles piles, cottising, and fimbriation; done means the cottis sits outside the charge with a field gap and inverted piles do not show a bottom edge.
