Missing documentation of Binding types

One fundamental part of using data triggers is specifying the Binding, of which there are more than twenty types. The examples on this page only use three types (Path, XPath, and Source), with little context of when it's appropriate to use each one, and no explanation of the differences between these types.

Even the Binding Property page is completely lacking information about these Binding types!
Where are we to get this information, if not Microsoft's official documentation? (Don't answer that. We all know it's StackOverflow, but you get my point.)
