Project content types: why no 'features' type?

Just wondering if there is any reason why there does not exist a 'feature' project type.

Realizing they are practically the same as modules, it still seems good to have this logical separation. Thoughts?

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points, so first determine where those types are defined and whether a separate feature type is technically distinct. Done would require a settled design and maintainer agreement on the proposed separation.
