System level Metrics

System level metrics are exposed through the Prometheus Project Node Exporter. Once the Prometheus Node Exporter binaries are installed in Couchbase nodes, we would like to get system level metrics such as TOP metrics, check the data volume directory and OS level metrics from the Couchbase Exporter.

The issue names Couchbase Exporter and Prometheus Node Exporter but provides no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the existing metric collection and export paths, then determine how installed Node Exporter data and system-level metrics should be surfaced. Done means the requested TOP, data-volume, and OS metrics are exposed with coverage for the intended cases.
