v2 package format on conda-forge (.conda)

Not entirely sure where to file this issue (and not seeing much activity on the conda-forge google group), so filing it here - let me know if there's a better place for this.

Having read https://www.anaconda.com/how-we-made-conda-faster-4-7/ with a lot of excitement, it seems like the new v2 package format drives a significant improvement in package download and extraction times and I saw noticeable improvement in anacondamain and anacondar.

Is there any guidance on whether the `conda-forge` channel will start having v2 format packages? Is there a timetable or any blockers?
