Restart button doesn't work when the bird goes off-screen

The restart button that appears when you collide with the pipes or crash at the bottom or go off screen from the top, it doesn't seem to work for the last two cases. Do you think you can fix it?
Probably the original state is not being copied in these cases, which is required for the restart to work.

Start by reproducing the restart behavior for pipe collisions, bottom crashes, and leaving the screen from the top, then inspect the restart and game-state handling in the JavaScript/jQuery code. Done means the restart button restores the initial state consistently for all three failure cases.
