methods for test elements

Is there any reason why codeception does not have methods for testing element properties?

I am thinking, for example, of something like:
seeElementHasFocus
seeElementIsEnabled

etc.

I know I can write them myself through helpers, I just think that there is no need for each tester to create the same wheel for himself.
