[3/24 bug bash] kubectl describe CrdbCluster <cluster name> output provided incorrect CRDB version

When attempting to skip CockroachDB version in upgrading (19.2.x -> 20.2.x), the upgrade successfully did not go through, but the kubectl describe output incorrectly communicated that it successfully upgraded.

**Repro Steps:**
1. Install CockroachDB 19.2.x with the Operator having customized the defaults
2. Attempt to Upgrade to CockroachDB 20.2.x (expected fail because of skip)

**Expected Results**

- Cluster remains on 19.2.x
- when running kubectl describe CrdbCluster cockroachdb, I expect it to return 19.2.x

**Actual Results:**
`kubectl describe CrdbCluster cockroachdb incorrectly states cluster is on 20.2.5:`
