Description
Common question: My pressure sensor is not reading zero in air, is it broken?
Answer:
This is the result of an offset. The measurement needs to be 'tared' like a kitchen scale. Subtract the steady offset in software to get the correct measurement.
Also, depends on atmospheric pressure.

Research direction
Start with the issue text and locate the bar30 pressure-sensor documentation or FAQ entry it refers to. Clarify that a nonzero reading in air can result from an offset requiring taring, while also explaining the atmospheric-pressure qualification. Done means the answer is accurate, clear, and placed in the appropriate documentation section.
