Build Failure

I followed these instructions from the Getting Started with the JAVA SDK https://aws.amazon.com/developers/getting-started/java/:

Download the Sample Project
`git clone https://github.com/awslabs/aws-java-sample.git`

From the aws-java-sample directory, run:
`mvn clean compile exec:java`

I however get the following build error:
