Add Python 3.14 support when tables has wheel

Attempt to add it in #57 was blocked by `tables`.

Start by reviewing issue #57 and the current Python-version support checks, then verify the status of the tables wheel for Python 3.14. The work is done when the project supports Python 3.14 without being blocked by that dependency and the relevant checks pass.
