Handle componentId updates dynamically

**Current behavior:**

We currently don't handle componentId changes dynamically in the components.

**Expected / new behavior:**

TBD - we should figure out how we should handle the global state when a `componentId` is changed. Possible approach is to remove the previous componentID from the state and add the new componentId.
