Unable to read a parquet file

I am unable to read a parquet file that was made after converting a csv to a parquet file using pyarrow. Following is the error

I was able to read and write parquet file earlier (about a few days ago) and how its stopped working

Reproduce the report on Linux x86 with Anaconda Python 3.6 and pyarrow 0.9.0 by reading a Parquet file created from CSV, then inspect the reported ArrowIOError about a corrupt footer. The issue provides no repository file or test; determine whether the conversion output or the reader is responsible before defining a fix and regression test.
