Start at parquet.hadoop.ParquetFileReader.readFooter and ParquetRecordReader.initializeInternalReader, then trace the Hadoop FileSystem cache calls shown in the stack trace. Reproduce the Spark job behavior and determine whether repeated filesystem initialization is occurring.
