Description
Hello Team,
We are interested in enabling s390x support for Apache CloudStack GitHub Actions CI workflows.
We now have hosted GitHub Actions runners available for IBM Z (s390x), and we are gradually onboarding open source communities to make use of this infrastructure as we continue expanding capacity. We believe this could help Apache CloudStack broaden its architecture coverage and strengthen cross-platform validation.
As part of our initial validation, we have executed the current Apache CloudStack GitHub Actions workflows on private s390x runners, and all workflows are passing successfully. This indicates that the project is already in good shape for s390x enablement with minimal additional effort.
We would be happy to engage with the Apache CloudStack community to explore whether this solution would be beneficial and how we can assist with the enablement process.
An onboarding document is available here:
https://github.com/IBM/actionspz/blob/main/docs/FAQ.md
If the community is interested, we would be glad to provide the necessary support to help get things started.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
Regards

Research direction
Start by reading the linked IBM actionspz FAQ and reviewing Apache CloudStack's existing GitHub Actions workflows. Determine the required s390x runner configuration and workflow changes; done means the CI workflows run successfully on hosted s390x runners and provide the intended architecture coverage.
