Feature request: Filter 30003 messages to only certain types

I would like a filtering capability such that only messages of certain types (eg. MSG1,MSG2,MSG3) are transmitted on the socket stream at port 30003. While I realize that I can receive all messages and throw away the ones I don't want, the ability for them to not be transmitted in the first place would reduce network bandwidth to my client and reduce the processing work at that client.
