[Bug] Silent failure on translated content without error diagnostics

**Bug Description**
this is not helpful I need to know whats tripped it rather than just die, can't just have legitimate elements broken when they pusblished in english fine but not when translated

need to point to the cause rather than leave users hanging especially since this has triggered only when translating an article claude wrote from english to german,french,spanish, portuguese and dutch
