Claude in Chrome is toggled on in Settings → Connectors → claude-in-chrome (screenshot shows "Enabled"), but tool calls from a Claude session consistently fail with:

Claude in Chrome is turned off in your settings.

Steps taken to try to resolve, none of which fixed it:

Confirmed the toggle is set to Enabled in claude.ai settings
Toggled it off and back on
Fully quit and reopened both Chrome and the Claude desktop app
Retried multiple times over several minutes

The extension does connect at the tab-group level (tabs_context_mcp succeeds and returns a valid tab), but any actual page action (e.g. navigate) is blocked with the "turned off" error, so the enabled state doesn't seem to be propagating correctly to whatever backend check gates tool execution.

Expected: if the connector shows Enabled in settings, browser tools should work.
Actual: tools are blocked as if the connector were disabled.
