### What's Wrong?

Hello,

I believe there is a usage accounting problem on my account and I'd like it investigated.

The issue:

1) Immediately after my five-hour session resets, the "Current session" value jumps straight to around 50% without me sending a single message. It is not a gradual increase — it goes up in one step.

2) The same happens with the weekly limit. When the weekly window renews, it does not start from zero but from an already high percentage.

In both cases I have no active usage at that moment: no new conversation, no messages sent, no background job running, and no other device or tab left open.

Account details:
- Name: Ahmet Balaman
- Account email: ahmetbalaman073@gmail.com
- Plan: [Pro / Max 5x / Max 20x]
- Primary surface: Claude Code (CLI) on macOS
- Date and time the jump was observed (UTC+3): [date/time]
- Screenshots attached: Settings > Usage, before and after the jump

Could you please review how usage is being metered on my account and explain why these percentages increase this way? If there is an accounting error, I'd appreciate it being corrected and the lost usage restored.

Thank you,
Ahmet Balaman

Rechercherichtung

No source files or tests are named. Start with Claude Code 2.1.247 on macOS and the Settings > Usage view; compare session and weekly values immediately before and after each reset using the missing UTC+3 timestamps and screenshots. Confirm whether any messages, jobs, devices, or tabs were active. Done means the accounting cause is identified and the usage is corrected or the behavior explained.
