### Problem Statement

I'm trying to manage my Squarespace 7.1 site through Claude / Cowork, but there's no first-party Squarespace connector. Today the only option is maintaining my own local MCP server that wraps Squarespace's Commerce APIs, which is unsupported and brittle. As a solo professional (not a developer) running a Squarespace site, I'd much rather use a supported connector.

### Proposed Solution

It would be great if Claude.ai offered an official, maintained Squarespace connector.

Strong v1 scope: Squarespace's public Commerce APIs already cover products, inventory, orders, transactions, profiles, and site info, documented at developers.squarespace.com/commerce-apis. Wrapping those would be immediately useful.

The real gap and highest-value ask: Squarespace exposes no public API for editing page content, blog posts, SEO fields, or code injection. That forces brittle workarounds. If Anthropic has any platform-partner influence, content-management coverage is what would make a Squarespace connector genuinely powerful for non-developers. Even read-only content access would help for audits.

### Alternatives Considered

I built my own local TypeScript MCP server wrapping the Commerce APIs (works, but unsupported and only commerce). I also evaluated third-party GitHub MCP servers, but they claim content-editing capabilities the public API doesn't actually support, so they're unreliable. For page/SEO edits I currently fall back to browser automation and Squarespace code injection.
