Document tips and tricks of SQLAlchemy 2.0 syntax

SQLAlchemy 1.4 is the last release before they move to 2.0, this introduces a [new syntax](https://docs.sqlalchemy.org/en/14/changelog/migration_20.html) for queries to support asyncio amongst other things. We should review the docs and:

- Write examples of common patterns
- Best practices for working with async
