It would be great if one could easily suspend / unsuspend all cards in a
deck with audio in the Android version of Anki. The logic is that
AnkiDroid is portable, and therefore used in a variety of environments -
some not conducive to audio.
When in a quiet room where the user can hear audio, and where audio would
not disturb others, one would prefer that all cards of a category be in the
same deck, and audio cards would be mixed in with recall and visual
recognition cards.
However, users will often want to use AnkiDroid on a loud train, or in a
quiet library where audio cards are not helpful. It would be nice if one
could simply suspend any card that plays audio for those occasions where it
is not convenient, and un-suspend when the location is more suited for audio.
Of course one could turn down the audio and fail the cards, but that
defeats the learning algorithms. I don't know how the community at large
feels about headphones, but I for one don't like to carry them everywhere I
go...whereas I do carry my Droid everywhere, and use AnkiDroid for a few
minutes here and there as I'm able.
