Highlight selected day number by default on all months

I just noticed that pickadate highlights selected day number by default on all months.

Example: if I select the 5th day of the month, it will highlight the 5th day of all the months on the calendar.

Why this happens? Is that a feature or a bug? :)

Is there any way to disable this?
