Working with scratch buffer

Hi
My default mode for scratch buffer is org-mode.
I am also using persistent-scratch to store the state of the scratch buffer so that its always saved and available

Can org-recent-headings be enhanced to store the headings from the scratch buffer?
I do see a lot of folks use the scratch buffer in org-mode, hence this enhancement might help them too

I see it works for regular org files, but not forthe scratch buffer in org-mode
