Descripción
Hi Vosk team,
I'm integrating Vosk into an Android project and want to flag an upcoming platform requirement from Google: starting November 1st, 2025, all native libraries used in apps targeting modern Android devices must support 16KB page sizes for ARM64-based devices.
This is a mandatory requirement from Google, not just a recommendation. Details are outlined in the official documentation here:
https://developer.android.com/guide/practices/page-sizes#check-sdks
Currently, Vosk's Android .so libraries appear to be built for the default 4KB page size, which causes compatibility issues on newer devices that use 16KB pages (e.g., Tensor-based Pixel devices and some ARMv9 chipsets).
We kindly request an updated Android release of Vosk with:
- Native libraries built with --page-size=16384
- ARM64 (arm64-v8a) support is sufficient
- NDK r25+ used for the build (required for 16KB page flag)
Since this will block deployment on affected devices starting in November, it would be very helpful to update this as soon as possible.
