Data websocket error with paper trading. Error code = 1002 (protocol error)

Hi,
I keep getting the following error when running any strategy (the sample python files) in paper trading mode. It was working before. Recently there has been some update in the alpaca trade api and I feel that maybe causing this error. I would appreciate any help regarding figuring out the cause and resolution for this type of error. The error message is below -
