Spaces after class declaration

I have a class declaration like:
class Company extends Model implements
Class1,
Class2,
ReallyLongClassNameThatPushesMeOverLineLimitClass3
{

If I put all the "implements" names on one line, I get flagged for a line length violation in PHP code checkers. I have format_on_save = true, in codeformatter_php_options.

When I save, the spaces are automatically removed in front of the class names, causing a code formatting violation in the code checker. Is this a bug, or is there some setting I can add so that these spaces will be retained and code will stay in the proper format?
