Beschreibung
As discussed in PR [#2](https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte-python-cdk/pull/2) ([comment](https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte-python-cdk/pull/2#discussion_r1835567032)), the repository currently has significant compliance issues with mypy standards. This issue aims to track the work required to bring the codebase to a baseline level of mypy compliance.
Optionally, consider migrating to pyright in the process.
