Chapter 16: issue with animation

I noticed that as using "%matplotlib nbagg" in chapter 16, I am not able to see images and animation. While the images are saved in the directory but now shown in the notebook, animation is not working.
An error is shown: Javascript Error: IPython is not defined

I tried replacing "%matplotlib nbagg" with "%matplotlib inline". This solves the problem with the image visualization, but the animation obviously does not work and visualizes only one frame. Any help?
