Entire feed marked as read without viewing posts

Setting 'on' for hide posts when viewed. Sometimes, without viewing anything more than the top post, the entire feed becomes hidden.

**Expected behavior**
Only posts that actively hovered about are hidden.

this happens interminably and do not understand what causes it.
