Feature requests :)

As nkscan is quickly becoming a production quality software I would like to discuss some feature requests.

0. If possible, if there is anyway, please an option to send a reset/unlock_everything command?

Service manual mentions a locking for transport procedure but for unlocking only says by software. This is critical for many many SA-21 locked and needs opening the unit, very risky in many ways. I had once recovering with a long power off reset luckily. I wish to test my LS-50 with SA-21, without hesitation.

1. Autofocus

1.1 Is it possible to force Autofocus for each frame or selectively especially with MA-21 because slide frame thickness and buckling may need it. Asking for it every slide change maybe?

1.2 Is it possible to choose autofocus point/area?

2. Multipass:
Not multisampling which is for noise reduction as I know BUT multipass for much slower but higher dynamic range scanning more than once. I am not sure which models support it with NikonScan and/or VueScan (which I have too). Some high density film need it. LS-5000 have it but not LS-50 in Nikon Scan? I am not sure.

3. Is there anyway to set tiff saving options? Different compressions etc.
4. any method to set for 8-bit (in case ??)
5. Is it possible to dump the rgb(ir) data to standard output so nkscan can open the door for a great gimp plugin? Or a great frontend?
