Description
It's never been clear in which way the purposes of the `dev` and `main` branch differ., it would be a good idea to remove one of the two, after merging it.

Run a branch inventory (`git branch -a` and remote branches) and inspect any related workflow/docs pointers to map the actual dependency on `dev`.
