Automate versioning

The versioning is now managed manually. It would be nice to automate that (semver?).

Look at the current versioning approach in package.json and any release scripts. Research semantic versioning automation tools like standard-version or semantic-release for TypeScript projects. Determine how to integrate version bumps into the CI/CD pipeline, likely using GitHub Actions. The goal is to have automated version updates based on commit messages or pull request labels.
