### License Notes

- Distinct from the "Qwen License Agreement" already keyed as `qwen-2024`
(Qwen2.5-72B etc.) and from `tongyi-qianwen-2023`: this one is the
research/non-commercial agreement used by the 3B-class Qwen2.5 models.
No `qwen*research*` key exists in LicenseDB (index.json, 2026-08-17). By
analogy, `qwen-research-2024` would fit; your call.
- Single version as far as checked: the LICENSE files in the three repos above
are byte-identical (7,388 bytes, 1,156 words, SHA-256
`ef52482bb785733093dc9a2e8edd8e764c77d12d8e9d8f10a80c9b547d32d0f9`, fetched
2026-08-17).
- Usage: `Qwen/Qwen2.5-3B` alone lists 436 adapters, 512 finetunes, 17 merges
and 53 quantizations in its model tree (2026-08-17); on the Hub the license
appears as `license: other` with `license_name: qwen-research`, so it is not
filterable by facet.
- Small metadata note while checking: `qwen-2024` and `tongyi-qianwen-2023`
currently list `owner: HuggingFace`; the licensor in both texts is Alibaba
Cloud. Happy to open a separate issue if useful.
