Setting `strip_root=True` when calling `cli.run_scan()` does not strip the root from Resource paths

In my program, I am calling `cli.run_scan()` to get information using the scancode scanners. I also want to strip the roots from the paths of the Resources from the scan, but when I call `cli.run_scan()` with the argument `strip_root=True`, the root is not removed from the Resource paths.
