The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Language_Server_Protocol is a way to offer language introspection support in IDEs and is used in many places.
Some came with this idea, both weird and brilliant: creating a language server for licensing and origin that would:
1. detect licenses, copyrights, etc
