Description
**1. Summarize the key feedback points you received on your FPM #3 draft visualizations.**
Figure 1 — Heatmap
The suggestion for heat map was to consider having just one facet for Titanium Dioxide since it dominates the data so heavily. The coloring of the word "Chemicals" in the title needs to be fixed because pink represents a number of product categories, not a specific chemical, so it is confusing to color it that way. The subtitle could also be reworded for clearer communication. The axis label needs to be clearer about whether it refers to the number of products or the number of categories. Because Titanium Dioxide's values are so much larger than the others, the small values on the heatmap are hard to see.
Figure 2 — Bubble Chart
The only note was about the colored words in the title. The colors do not actually correspond to the circles in the chart, which makes it misleading even if it looks visually appealing.
Figure 3 — Pictogram
The suggestion was to color words in the title. Adding supporting text that explains the dangers of Titanium Dioxide and why it is so commonly used in beauty products would strengthen the visualization and give readers more context.
**2. Explain which of these suggestions you plan to implement and how.**
I revised the title in the Figure 2. I changed the color coding for the title. I also changed the color combination, text size and information inside the circle, according to the peer feedback.
**3. Identify any areas where you decided not to follow feedback and explain why (e.g. “it didn’t align with my main message” or “I found a different design solution”).**
I feel like I can come up with some better visualizations, so I am changing my Figure 1 & 3 for the final visualization.
**4. Address which (if any) of the [ten design elements](https://eds-240-data-viz.github.io/course-materials/assignments/final-project.html#partI) you do not plan to implement (rememeber, not all ten will necessarily apply to your project, and that’s okay!).**
My visualization does not incorporate the DEI lens, because there is no social data in my data set that I can work with. My color palettes are not color blind friendly.
