Description

We walk along a severance and project away from it to make two points, then route between them. But...

1) Sometimes both points snap to the same side of the severance -- then it's pointless
2) Sometimes one or both points snaps to something very very far away

If we can prune these, score mode will look much cleaner

Research direction

The issue discusses removing 'score mode' due to problematic snapping behavior. First, locate the code for 'score mode' and the severance projection logic. Understand the routing algorithm and how points are generated. Determine if pruning the problematic cases is feasible or if removal is the better path.
