What Can be Improved About This Section

At the workshop today, someone asked "why not using pixi instead of uv". It's a good question, and it might be posible to just swap every invocation of uv with pixi in our docs. It would be nice to see if this is possible, and if it is recommend it as another option, becaue especially for machine learning code there are several packages available on conda-forge that aren't on PyPI.

Check whether the equivalent workflow is supported by pixi, including the machine-learning packages mentioned as available on conda-forge. Done means documenting whether substitution is possible and, if appropriate, recommending pixi as an alternative.
