Research direction

Start by tracing the create-subtitle action and the video player's play action to see where textbox focus changes. Reproduce the issue with the version 5 release candidate, then verify that starting playback leaves the subtitle textbox focused so typing can continue without another click.

Description

I just downloaded version 5 a couple of days ago. I'm a little frustrated with so many of the controls that have been moved or are missing (like the forward and back buttons on the video player). I'm constantly moving the mouse to the old location for the create subtitle controls.

Here is the problem that I have noticed. When I push the create subtitle button, the textbox get focus, which is as it should be, but when I push play on the video player to listen to what I need to type in, the textbox loses focus and I've got to click back in the textbox to get focus back, which is a little annoying. I'm hoping there is already a setting to fix this and I just wasn't able to find it.
